About the name
In the Bible, Aaron is the brother of Moses. It comes from the Hebrew ʾAhărōn, of uncertain meaning. It is possibly 'bearer of martyrs', though a link to an Egyptian phrase for 'warrior lion' and a sense of 'exalted' have also been suggested. Harun is its double.
